- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required 2. Cases: Float across all acute care nursing areas including Geriatric/Palliative Care, Orthopedics & Trauma, Medicine, Surgical, Neurology, Epilepsy, & Stroke, Acute Cardiology, Neurosurgery, Vascular, Heme/Onc, Solid Organ Transplant, Thoracic Cardiovascular, Digestive Health, Acute Care Special Pathogens Unit (COVID), and ED Boarders 3. Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred; copy of certifications required with submissions 4. License: VA license required; can submit with pending license but must have in-hand Wednesday before start date; Nursys verification required for submittal 5. Education: BSN preferred 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Night shifts; 36 or 48 hour shifts available; every other weekend, every other holiday 8. RTO: Up to 40 hours guaranteed per 13-week contract; no additional requests approved after acceptance 9. Returning Staff: Must inform Client Delivery Manager if previously employed at University of Virginia Health system; requires one year separation and UVA leadership approval; cannot work more than 365 days total regardless of separation 10. Travel/Local: Select units have 50 mile travel restriction; this unit not listed so no mile radius rule applies 11. Background: Must inform Client Delivery Manager of any background hits 12.
