Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year required 2. Cases: Wide range of medical diagnoses including diabetes, sickle cell crisis, COPD exacerbations, ESRD with pulmonary hypertension, wounds, drains, tubes 3. Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred but not required; copies required with submission 4. License: VA license required (pending acceptable but must have in-hand Wednesday before start date); Nursys verification required for submittal 5. Education: BSN preferred 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Every other weekend; block scheduling cannot be guaranteed; must adhere to float policy 8. RTO: Up to 40 hours guaranteed per 13-week contract; unable to approve time off Memorial Day, July 4th, or Labor Day 9. Returning Staff: Must inform Client Delivery Manager if previously employed at UVA Health system; external travelers cannot work more than 365 days regardless of time off; facility does not allow return after 365 days despite separation 10. Travel/Local: Select units have 50-mile travel restriction; this unit not listed as having mile radius rule 11. Background: Must inform Client Delivery Manager of any background hits 12. Modules: Non-billable up to 16 hours; completed during orientation; recorded in Workday; vary by specialty 13. Travel Experience: Not specified as required 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned 15.
