Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year required 2. Cases: Patient diagnoses include respiratory illnesses, renal illnesses, diabetes, sepsis, cellulitis, infections, heart failure, sickle cell, cystic fibrosis 3. Certifications: BLS required; copy of certification required with submission 4. License: VA license accepted pending but must have license in-hand Wednesday before start date; Nursys verification required for submittal 5. Education: BSN preferred 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Patient ratio 1:4 days/weekends, 1:5 nights; every other weekend, every other holiday; can offer 36 or 48 hours; float required within scope of practice 8. RTO: Up to 40 hours guaranteed per 13-week contract; no additional RTO approved after acceptance 9. Returning Staff: Must inform Client Delivery Manager if previously employed at UVA Health system; external travelers cannot work more than 365 days regardless of separation; must be separated one year for eligibility 10. Travel/Local: Select units have 50-mile travel restriction; this unit not listed so no mile radius rule applies 11. Background: Must inform Client Delivery Manager of any background hits 12.
