- Unit Notes:This is a NURSE SHIFT MANAGER POSITION. **Manager Interviews** -No first time traveler- -Must have been charge RN in last assignment- **3 weeks of orientation** 1st week is classroom and the following 2 are unit orientations PAY OT after 8 hours/day. (RC = 24 reg hours, 12 OT hours) BILL OT after 40 hours/week. (RC = same rate in OT as in reg) Role Summary: This position is a blend of charge nurse, clinical mentor, and manager responsibilities. The clinician provides on-shift leadership to ensure safe, high-quality, and compassionate patient care while supporting staff and promoting a positive work environment. They round on patients, address service or safety concerns, and serve as a resource for both clinical and interpersonal issues. The clinician will also take charge nurse assignments as needed, depending on census and staffing levels. Cancellation Policy:Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks (Hospital may also pay full hours for a particular shift, in lieu of cancellation).
