Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; critical care experience required for high volume ER, Level 1 Trauma Center 2. Cases: Neurotrauma, cardiovascular services, medical/surgical ICU patients 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) by NBRC required; CRT not accepted; PALS preferred 4. License: VA State Board of Medicine licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner required; other state licenses accepted but must obtain 90-day temporary authorization while VA permanent license issues 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12s nights 7p-7a; 4x12 available by request; may be EOW or 6 weekend shifts in 6-week scheduling block 8. RTO: All requests must be included with submission; pre-approved time off: none 9. Returning Staff: Previous employees must be gone minimum one year before returning as traveler; facility does not allow travelers to return after working 365 days despite separation period 10. Travel/Local: Local candidates not accepted; 100-mile radius rule; RRT (Neo/Peds) exception: 50-99.9 miles may be considered for one 13-week assignment with no extension eligibility 11.
