Requirements

- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required (note mentions 18 months required with exceptions depending on unit) 2. Cases: Adult ICU, General Care and Adult Intensive Care; preferred trauma experience 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NBRC RRT required; must be in hand at submission 4. License: IN license required; must be in hand prior to start date 5. Education: Must be in-person, accredited by CoARC and regionally accredited through CHEA; university must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation 6. EMR: Cerner preferred; no specific charting required for IU health positions 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12s or 4x12s; cannot work more than 5 days in a row; weekend coverage required; floating 100% required 8. RTO: Can auto-approve 5 days of non-holiday RTO; anything more requires facility approval; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays 9. Returning Staff: Former IU employees must be away 12 months before applying as traveler; consecutive contract policy requires designated breaks after 12 months 10. Travel/Local: IN residents considered local; locals accepted for some positions at lower rate; not accepted for MS, MS Tele, PCU, ICU, and ER positions 11.
