Requirements
- Required certification: RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist
- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years minimum required; 18 months experience required per general policy 2. Cases: Floating between NICU, PEDS acute care and adult acute care required; need recent NICU experience; NICU coverage includes attending High Risk Deliveries 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NBRC RRT required; must be in hand at submission 4. License: IN license required; must be in hand prior to start date 5. Education: University must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation 6. EMR: Cerner preferred; no specific charting required for IU health positions 7. Shifts/Call: 4x12s EOW, Holidays; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays; weekend coverage required with 24 weekend shifts per contract 8. RTO: Can auto-approve 5 days of non-holiday RTO or less; anything more requires facility approval 9. Returning Staff: Any PERM or PRN employee of IU must be away for 12 months before applying as traveler; consecutive contract policy requires break after 12 months employment 10. Travel/Local: IN residents considered local; locals accepted for some positions at lower rate but not accepted for MS, MS Tele, PCU, ICU, and ER positions 11. Background: Background policy must be noted prior to submission to seek approval prior to offer 12. Modules: Not specified 13. Travel Experience: Yes, required; first time travelers accepted 14.
