- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year required; must have level 4 NICU experience; cardiac PICU experience preferred 2. Cases: NICU, PICU, high-risk deliveries, acute care pediatrics; Children's Hospital cases 3. Certifications: RRT cert, BLS, NRP required; PALS and ACCS preferred; copies required with submissions 4. License: VA State License required; RRT travelers must have license in-hand at time of submission; others accepted pending but must have Wednesday before start date; Nursys verification required for submittal 5. Education: BSN preferred 6. EMR: Epic experience required unless otherwise noted 7. Shifts/Call: 36 or 48 hours available; nights; every other weekend, every other holiday; self-scheduling model 8. RTO: No RTO allowed for 5/25 and 7/4; only guaranteed up to 40 hours per 13-week contract; no additional requests approved after acceptance 9. Returning Staff: Must inform if previously employed at UVA Health system; must be separated one year for eligibility; external travelers cannot work more than 365 days regardless of separation 10. Travel/Local: Select units have 50-mile travel restriction; this unit not specifically listed as restricted 11. Background: Must inform Client Delivery Manager of any background hits 12.
