Requirements

- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year minimum RN experience required 2. Cases: Behavioral Health/Psych RN - anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, depressive disorders, psychotic disorders, schizophrenia-spectrum disorders, substance use, suicidal behavior, trauma-and stressor-related disorders 3. Certifications: BCLS required (AHA certifications required), CPI and First Aid (can be obtained during orientation) 4. License: WV or Compact license required; pending license acceptable 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Avatar 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 nights 7pm-7:30am, weekdays, every other weekend 8. RTO: Holiday RTO requests limited to no more than 1 of the 3 major holidays; must be included at time of submittal 9. Returning Staff: Permanent employees cannot return as travelers; travelers may only work contracts for up to 1 year 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted; first time travelers accepted 11. Background: Any previous probationary actions on license considered case-by-case basis; DHHR Release Form required within 48 hours 12. Modules: 8 hours of modules, non-billable, must be completed prior to start or will be turned away from orientation; included in 16 hours NBO 13. Travel Experience: Not required 14. Scrubs: Blue scrubs provided (Navy or Royal Blue) 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - medical/religious exemptions only 16. Special Equipment: Mechanical restraints Critical: Fingerprints must be completed in West Virginia 7-10 business days prior to start. Minimum 3 manager/charge references within past 2 years required. Patient ratios: Adults/Forensic 1:15-20 depending on unit.
