Certifications: BLS, PALS required; additional certs required per unit description; IN license and certs must be in hand to submit 4. License: Must be in hand prior to start date; temporary licenses obtainable once permanent license applications submitted 5. Education: Travelers University must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE at graduation 6. EMR: Cerner preferred; no specific charting required for IU health positions 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12's or 4x12's and holidays; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays; 100% floating required 8. RTO: Auto-approve 5 days non-holiday RTO or less; more requires facility approval 9. Returning Staff: Former IU PERM/PRN employees must be away 12 months before applying as traveler; consecutive contract policy requires designated break after 12 months travel employment 10. Travel/Local: IN residents considered local; locals not accepted for MS, MS Tele, PCU, ICU, ER positions but accepted for Surgical Services, Allied, IU Clinics at lower rate; out-of-state residents need 3 month break, in-state need 6 month break to reset eligibility 11.
