- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year required; PEDS experience required, bare minimum 2 years of specialty experience for most positions 2. Cases: Daily caseload 5-8 patients; productivity expectations 10 half hours a day 3. Certifications: BLS required; CPR required; must be current/eligible for DC PT license 4. License: DC LICENSE REQUIRED; must apply for DC license within 24-48 hours of signing; valid state license required at time of submission 5. Education: CAPTE approved physical therapy curriculum required 6. EMR: Cerner documentation system 7. Shifts/Call: Day shift; no weekend requirement; no on-call requirement; every other weekend/holiday required for most units 8. RTO: No more than 1 week of RTO; if RTO is full week, must add a week; ONE holiday guaranteed; RTO submitted after offer will not be approved; must make up missed shifts 9. Returning Staff: If previous employment with Children's National, must be gone minimum 1 year to return as traveler 10. Travel/Local: No mile restrictions for locals; locals accepted at same bill rate 11. Background: No license or BG hits 12. Modules: Up to 20 hours of modules; non-billable; pre-start modules completed prior to orientation 13. Travel Experience: First-time travelers not accepted 14. Scrubs: Any color, no logos, child friendly 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16. Special Equipment: Parallel bars, LiteGait, FES, Aquatic therapy, wheelchairs, standers, adaptive strollers, adaptive tricycles Critical: COVID-19 vaccine required plus booster with no exemptions.
