Requirements

- Active California RN license required before start
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; must have 2 years of CVPICU experience leading up to assignment (recent) and formal training in a Pediatric Cardiac ICU 2. Cases: PEDS Cardiac experience required - MUST be cardiac trained; Heart transplant experience; Post cardiac surgery; Congenital heart disease/repair 3. Certifications: BLS, PALS required 4. License: CA License required in hand or ETA of when it will post needed to submit 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12s variable; 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule; Must work 2 out of 3 holidays; No on-call required 8. RTO: 6 days max 9. Returning Staff: Perm staff need to wait a year to be eligible to travel; Any clinician who is DNR for CHOC will not be considered for Rady 10. Travel/Local: 50 mile radius; Locals not accepted 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Non-billable, up to 10 hours to complete; completed pre-start; do not count as orientation hours 13. Travel Experience: Travel experience required; First-timers accepted if strong experience 14. Scrubs: Any color 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - No Exemptions 16. Special Equipment: Ventilators, multiple monitors, EKG interpretation; ECMO, Ventricular Assist Device, various cardiac monitoring equipment Critical: Must be willing to float between units within scope. Patient ratios 1:1-2, 1:3 during days. Previous children's hospital experience preferred.
