- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; level 1 trauma and Neuro required, 3-4 years preferred; 1 year charge experience required 2. Cases: 60-70 cases; heavy in Ortho, Spine, and Neuro; all service lines except cardiac, robotics, and transplant 3. Certifications: BLS required, CNOR listed 4. License: Compact License or WA single state acceptable; candidates using Compact license need to apply for WA license and/or complete 6-hour suicide prevention training 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience is a huge plus but not required; Epic module completed during orientation is billable 7. Shifts/Call: Nights 3x12s 1845-0715; approximately 2-4 charge shifts/month; weekend coverage required; Sunday night not considered weekend shift; no on-call required 8. RTO: No more than 6 days; keep to minimum; cannot accommodate during orientation week 9. Returning Staff: Prior UW staff must be separated from facility for 18 months before returning as traveler 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted with no difference in bill rate; candidates will float within hospital 11. Background: Must disclose any background hits, DUIs at time of submission 12. Modules: Non-billable; RN 5-6 hours; completed pre-start except Epic module; additional 6 hours if WA suicide prevention training required 13. Travel Experience: First-timers accepted 14. Scrubs: Facility provided 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16. Special Equipment: Pyxis medication system; screen for limited Neuro and/or Ortho/Spine experience Critical: Two references required upon submittal, preferably supervisory. Compliance deadline 3 business days prior to start date. 72-hour orientation. Facility can call off 1 shift per 2-week pay period.
