- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for cardio thoracic surgeries; 1+ years required for submission within specialty 2. Cases: 2-4 cases per day; cardio-thoracic surgeries, general and vascular cases, Carotid Endarterectomy, port a cath insertion 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; will allow travelers to get before starting 4. License: NY State License required (must have at least applied if still pending); submit with recent Nursys 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required 7. Shifts/Call: 7 days call per schedule; 3-4 weekend shifts depending on shift; patient ratio 1:1 8. RTO: Preferred 7 days or less 9. Returning Staff: Permanent staff cannot return as traveler within a year 10. Travel/Local: 75-mile local radius; locals accepted at lower rate ($10 less) 11. Background: Not specified 12.
