- Active California RN license required before start
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year of pediatric hem/onc inpatient or outpatient experience AND 4 years as an RN 2. Cases: BMT, infusion, PCU, radiation oncology preferred; oncology (brain tumors, Ewings Sarcoma, Rhabdomyosarcoma, lymphomas), neuroblastoma, anemia, leukemia/lymphoma, solid tumor; hematology (hemophilia/ITP/sickle cell anemia) 3. Certifications: BLS (AHA) required, PALS (AHA) required; APHON preferred, CPHON or CPON preferred 4. License: CA RN license required in hand or ETA of when it will post needed to submit 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 4x10s days, Monday through Friday, start times variable between 0600-0830; no on-call required; no weekend coverage unless making up for beam downtime 8. RTO: 6 days max; traveler required to work 2 out of 3 holidays 9. Returning Staff: Permanent staff need to wait a year to be eligible to travel 10. Travel/Local: 50-mile local radius; locals not accepted 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Non-billable, up to 10 hours to complete pre-start; do not count as orientation hours; recorded via transcripts 13. Travel Experience: First-timer travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Any color 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - No Exemptions 16. Special Equipment: Central line and IV start experience required; experience in radiation therapy and/or sedation required Critical: Central line maintenance, IV starts and port-a-cath accessing required. Patient population averages 15-25 pediatric patients per day. Compliance document deadline Wednesday prior to start.
