Requirements

- 1+ years of experience
- Active California RN license required before start
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required, at least 1 year in NICU specialty 2. Cases: NICU Level III (190 births per month), prematurity, feeders and growers, RDS 3. Certifications: BCLS, NRP, PALS required 4. License: CA license must be in hand 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic 7. Shifts/Call: No on-call required; weekends every other but may exceed to meet unit needs 8. RTO: Must be included at submission; approval based on facility needs. Must commit to working 3 of 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, NYE, NYD). Maximum 7 days RTO 9. Returning Staff: Can return after 3 months; must disclose previous Providence employment 10. Travel/Local: 50-mile radius rule; locals accepted at lower rate 11. Background: Must disclose license/background hits upfront at submission. No open license hits approved 12. Modules: Average 16 hours, non-billable; completed pre-start and annually; over 20 hours requires PM approval 13. Travel Experience: First-timers accepted 14. Scrubs: Navy blue for RNs 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16. Special Equipment: CPAP, BIPAP, smart pumps, feeding pumps, isolettes, warmers, high frequency vents/oscillators Critical: LA fire card within last 30 days required. Two supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years required. Must float between all facilities within state. Skills required include bubble CPAP, central line care, high frequency ventilation, oscillators, ventilator management, PICC lines.
