- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 1 year experience required 2. Cases: Med/Surg experience required; preferred experience with cardiac monitoring, telemetry, post angiogram, post MI, IV insulin protocols, colostomy care, feeding tube management, hemodialysis, renal failure, blood product administration, central line blood draw, heparin, insulin, PCA, CVA, neuro surgery, ortho trauma, surgical drains, chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, high flow nasal cannula, wound care 3. Certifications: BLS and NIH required; must be AHA or American Red Cross only, RQI cards not accepted 4. License: Must have active IL license in hand at submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 Days (0645-1915), no on-call required, will work every other weekend, 1:5 patient ratios 8. RTO: Auto-approve 5 or less days of non-holiday RTO, anything more requires facility approval; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays 9. Returning Staff: Previous perm/PRN candidates must be separated for 12 months before applying as traveler 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted with no radius requirement for Med Surg (50+ miles required for OR RN only) 11. Background: Background check hits must be noted upon submission for approval prior to offer 12. Modules: Non-billable up to 16 hours, completed pre-start, renewed annually; strict deadlines with 4PM CST Day 1 deadline 13. Travel Experience: Not required as first-timers accepted 14. Scrubs: Any solid color 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required with medical/religious exemptions only 16. Special Equipment: Basic equipment including hoyer lift and bladder scanner Critical: Must complete compliance (lab appointment, DocuSigns, badge photo) within 1 week of signing contract. Floating required within hospital or affiliate hospitals. 24-hour orientation provided.
