Requirements

- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 1 year Med/Surg experience required 2. Cases: Med/Surg experience required; preferred experience includes cardiac monitoring, telemetry, post angiogram, post MI, IV insulin protocols, colostomy care, feeding tube management, pre/post hemodialysis, central line blood draw, PICC line management, heparin/insulin/PCA administration, CVA, pre/post neuro surgery, ortho trauma, chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, wound care/wound vac 3. Certifications: BLS and NIH required; must be AHA or Red Cross only (RQI cards not accepted) 4. License: Active IL license required in hand at submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 nights, every other weekend required, no on-call, will float as needed to other MedSurg and like units 8. RTO: Ideally no more than 5 days; auto-approve 5 or less days of non-holiday RTO; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays 9. Returning Staff: Previous perm/PRN candidates must be separated for 12 months before applying as traveler 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted with no radius restriction for this unit 11. Background: Background check hits must be noted upon submission for approval prior to offer 12. Modules: Non-billable up to 16 hours, completed pre-start, renewed annually; strict deadlines with completion by 4PM CST on Day 1; first day is virtual at-home 13. Travel Experience: Not required 14. Scrubs: Any solid color 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required with medical/religious exemptions only 16. Special Equipment: Basic equipment including hoyer lift and bladder scanner Critical: Must complete lab appointment, Docusigns, and badge photo within minimum 1 week of signing contract. Patient ratios 1:5 for all shifts. 24-hour orientation required.
