- Unit Notes:OSF ITEMS OF NOTE: - Local Rate: Applies to clinicians with permanent addresses within 50 miles (-$25 to regular and OT bill rates) - OSF Call Off Policy: Equivalent of 12 hours every 13 weeks with no penalty or need to pay for the shift - Non-billable Orientation Hours: 12 hours, guaranteed hours will not apply during orientation REQUIREMENTS FOR SUBMISSION: - Last four (4) digits of clinician's SSN - Clinician's middle initial - Requested time off - Active IL license or confirmation that application process has been initiated - Your candidate understands OSF is a Drug-Free Campus and they must produce a negative drug screen for all panels Department: Med Surg | RN - # Beds: 2 South: 18 beds; 3 South: 22 Beds - Nurse: Patient Ratios: Days 1:5, Nights 1:5-6. - Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; PALS preferred - Common diagnosis/Types of patients: Medical Acute (pneumonia, heart failure, sepsis, copd, urologic, surgical, total joints, General surgery, occasional pediatric respiratory illness - Experience or 'Must have' skills: At least 2 years of experience is preferred, prefer previous travel experience Teamwork, communication with PCT (3x day touchpoint) focus on nursing care such as foley care, CHG bathing and oral cares. Oversight and collaboration with PCT to ensure cares are performed. Touchpoints should also include plan of care - Are RN's required to titrate drips?: No - Is there a Charge Nurse &/or House Supervisor on each shift?: Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Charge Nurse and Admin Supervisor; Charge takes 1-2 pts - Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties?: PCTs Days 1:8-10, Eves 1:9-10, Nights 1: 10-12. - RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, Bipap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot?: Bi-pap (home regimen) should be stable and alert. High-flow - Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RN's required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors?: Yes, RNs monitor tele strips, do have virtual central telemetry monitoring Phillips - Shifts & Scheduling: 12s, 0700-1930 and 1900-0730. - Weekend Requirements: Every other - Holiday Requirements: Yes, rotation; Holidays are: Days: Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Day. Nights: Memorial Day Eve, July 3rd, Labor Day Eve, Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve, New Years Eve. - Is there Call or a Standby requirement?: Low Census will be given in4 hour and re0evaluated every 4 hours - Floating Requirements: may float to icu for general acute overflow patient or float to Ottawa Campus (25 miles from Peru) to staff greatest need If floating to Ottawa Campus would be notified at least 2 hours prior to start of shift - Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs Provided?: Solid Color - no prints, tasteful - Unit/Department Specific Orientation: usually 3 shifts Cancellation Policy:12 hours per 13 week Charting System:EPIC BSN Required:False License to Submit:Yes, willing to wait Trauma Level: Care Setting:Acute Division:Nursing Shift Notes:12hr Nights Required Certifications:ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
