- Unit Notes:---OSF ITEMS OF NOTE: - Local Rate: Applies to clinicians with permanent addresses within 50 miles (-$25 to regular and OT bill rates) - OSF Call Off Policy: Equivalent of 12 hours every 13 weeks with no penalty or need to pay for the shift - Non-billable Orientation Hours: 12 hours, guaranteed hours will not apply during orientation REQUIREMENTS FOR SUBMISSION: - Last four (4) digits of clinician's SSN - Clinician's middle initial - Requested time off - Active IL license or confirmation that application process has been initiated - Your candidate understands OSF is a Drug-Free Campus and they must produce a negative drug screen for all panels Department: Medical Acute Care Unit | RN - # Beds: 20 - Nurse: Patient Ratios: 1:4/5 on day shift 1:5/6 on night shift. - Required certifications: BLS - Common diagnoses/Types of patients: General medical unit. - Experience or 'Must have' skills: Gen Med experience; Strong teamwork and communication. - Is there a Charge Nurse &/or House Supervisor on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Yes, charge nurse 24 hours per day. Ideal is charge does not have patient assignment, however, if short staff they will take a patient assignment. We also have a house supervisor 24/7. - Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties?: Yes, we have PCTs 24 hours per day. Ratio of 1: 6/7 on days and 1:10 on nights. - RT Equipment: No vents. - Are there tele/monitor techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors?: Yes, some patients are on telemetry, Phillips monitor, bedside RNs do not read strips, there is a central station for monitor techs. - Shifts & Scheduling: 12 hour shifts. - Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend. - Holiday Requirement: 3 of 6 required holidays throughout the year. - Is there Call or a Standby requirement?: Depends on staffing needs of hospital. - Floating Requirements: Travel RNs are first to float otherwise it is on a rotation of last who floated. - Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs provided?: No color preference. - Unit/Department specific orientation: 3 - Additional Notes: For Travelers- preference of gen med/surgical Date Entered: 8/4/2025 Cancellation Policy:12 hours per 13 weeks Charting System:EPIC BSN Required:False License to Submit:Yes Trauma Level: Care Setting:Acute Division:Nursing Shift Notes:12hr Nights Required Certifications:BLS (AHA)
