- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years minimum required; 18 months required per general policy 2. Cases: Level 1 Trauma Experience preferred; post-operative care of colorectal surgery patients; Adult Surgical Oncology specific to general surgery, Pancreatic and Hepatobiliary Cancers, ENT patients and colorectal overflow 3. Certifications: BCLS required 4. License: Must be in hand prior to start date; temporary licenses may be obtainable once permanent license applications submitted 5. Education: University must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation 6. EMR: Cerner preferred; no specific charting required for IU health positions 7. Shifts/Call: Work every other weekend per contract; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays; call-ins added to end of contract 8. RTO: Auto-approve 5 days non-holiday RTO or less; more requires facility approval 9. Returning Staff: Any permanent or PRN employee must be away 12 months before applying as traveler 10. Travel/Local: IN residents considered local; locals NOT accepted for MS, MS Tele, PCU, ICU, and ER positions; eligible locals offered lower rate 11. Background: Background policy to be noted prior to submission for approval prior to offer 12. Modules: Not specified 13. Travel Experience: First time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16. Special Equipment: N95 mask fit-testing or PAPR device training required for negative-airflow rooms Critical: Floating 100% required to different levels of care. COVID vaccine required. Must have skills for NG tube insertions, epidurals, PCAs, wound care, central line management. Patient ratios 1:4-5 days, 1:5 nights. SSN and DOB required at submittal. 2 supervisor references required.
