- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years RN experience required 2. Cases: Medical and surgical patients battling cancer, palliative care, urology and telemetry patients 3. Certifications: BLS, ONCC/ONS required; BLS, ACLS, PALS must be via American Heart Association if required by unit 4. License: WV or Compact RN License required; pending license acceptable 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 7p-7a, every other weekend required, float to like units 8. RTO: Limit holiday requests to no more than 1 of 3 major holidays 9. Returning Staff: Permanent employees cannot return as travelers for 2 years after last day worked permanent 10. Travel/Local: 100-mile radius rule; 75-99 miles considered case-by-case at same rate 11. Background: Previous probationary actions on license considered case-by-case 12. Modules: 2-6 hours average, non-billable, completed prior to start, vary by specialty 13. Travel Experience: Not specified as required 14. Scrubs: Royal Blue/White for RN 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required during flu season (October 1st - March 31st) unless medical exemption by allergist or physician 16. Special Equipment: PCA pumps, CBI, feeding pumps, bladder scanner Critical: Chemotherapy administration within 1 year preferred. Two manager/charge references within past 2 years required. Current Vandalia Health System employees ineligible for travel contracts.
