- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required 2. Cases: OB Triage, Labor, Circulate C Sections, Postpartum Couplet Care, Transition Newborns 3. Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS, NRP, Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring, AWHONN Advanced required; Intermediate or Advanced AWHONN required for L&D with 2 year exp date, cannot be done online 4. License: Active, unrestricted Arizona RN License or valid, participating compact license required 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 DAYS/NIGHTS VARIABLE 0700-1900/1900-0700; On-call required (average 1-2 twelve-hour shifts per 8-week schedule, 4 hr blocks) 8. RTO: Unit Manager approval required; Can auto approve 5 days or less for ICU, MS/TELE, PCU as long as not on holiday; Must work 2 out of 3 holidays; No RTO during first week due to orientation 9. Returning Staff: Previous employees must wait 12 months before applying as traveler; Return travelers ineligible if cancelled within 10 days of start date 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted; May float within hospital or to affiliate hospital nearby 11. Background: State releases required for GA, NV, NH, MA, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands to prevent delays 12. Modules: Average 6 hours, billable for all hours, completed during first week of orientation, recorded by LMS transcripts 13. Travel Experience: First-timers accepted 14. Scrubs: RNs can wear any scrub color 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Not required 16. Special Equipment: Must circulate C sections Critical: Candidate must go into lab within 72 hours after signing. Two professional references required - one from most recent employer within 1 year, second within 2 years. Float only within department. Guaranteed 36 hours/week, facility may call off 6x during 13-week assignment.
