- Unit Notes:- Hiring Process: Candidate Interview- Interview with MedSol Clinical Team- No Unit Manager involvement - Radius: 60 MILES, DL must be submitted - Week of orientation: Please ensure clinicians are in state for week of orientation even if first day modules are remote Unit L&D/PP/MB - STM # L&D Beds 4 # OR Suites on the unit for C-Sections? Yes # Triage beds 1 # Postpartum beds 4 # Births per day? Month? Year? 220 year Do you follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios? as much as possible Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?) ACLS, NRP, AWONN EFM, STABLE Common diagnoses/Types of patients High BMI, DM, Substance use/absue Experience or 'Must have' skills LDRP experience Are RNs required to titrate drips? Yes Common titratable &/or set rate drips Pitocin, Mag, Insulin, D10 Charge Nurse/House Supervisor? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? Minnium staffing of 2 RNs sometimes we have 3 RNs on a shift. Charge takes patients. House supervisor doesn't take patients Are there nurse aids/surgical techs on this unit? No OB/Neonatologist in house 24/7? No Anesthesia in house 24/7? No RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc) bubble cpap Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors? No tele/monitor techs, RNs read own strips EFM System OBIX Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) Day shift and night shift each schedule themselves and give balanced schedule to the manager. If its not balanced the manager will balance it Weekend Requirements 3 weekends in a 6 week schedule Holiday Requirements rotating schedule in unit. We are assigned holidays for the year Is there a call or standby requirement? everyone takes their turn on call per census Floating Requirements? we try and help the other departments when we are empty; If an extreme need could float within Zone 1: PEN, SFH, SFI, SMC, STM Scrub Color/Dress code provided - blue scrubs Unit/Department specific orientation Yes 1-2 shifts Cancellation Policy:Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks Charting System:EPIC BSN Required:False License to Submit:Yes Trauma Level: Care Setting:Acute Division:Nursing Shift Notes:Nights, EOW, Call: 18 hours of call per 6 weeks, First to float to postpartum Required Certifications:ACLS (AHA), AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, BLS (AHA), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), STABLE Certification
