- Active California RN license required before start
- Unit Notes:# suites/labs 1 #cases per day on average: Varies daily per campus Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS **Must be able to pass Procedural Sedation competency and EKG exam.** Common diagnoses/Types of patients: biopsies, drainage, extremities, angiography, angioplasty, embolization, gastrostomy tubes, cryoablation, catheter/line placements, nephrostomy Job Duties: Assists Interventional Radiologists with minimally invasive procedures. Assists in positioning patients correctly for interventional radiologic procedures, goes to other modalities such as CT, US to assist physicians. They must be knowledgeable about the procedures, equipment and procedural sedation. Experience or 'Must have' skills: At least 2 years' experience EMR/Equipment: Radnet & Merge Unity, Cerner Interventionalist hours/on call: Inhouse days, On Call evenings and nights # of staff scheduled per 24Hrs 2.5 per weekday Shifts & Scheduling: 8Hr shifts- Days Weeknight/Call Requirements: We have a primary call team and a back-up secondary call team. Usually, it's one week on call 1 week off, one week on call, and two weeks off. Weekend/Call Requirements Yes- rotating Holiday/Call Requirements Yes - 1 major & 1 minor holiday What is call response time? 30 Minutes Floating Requirements Can be floated to Mercy Southwest (approx 6.5 miles away) Scrub Color/Dress Code: Scrubs provided by the hospital (navy surgical scrubs) Unit/Department specific orientation: Done by Lead RN - at least a week orientation Cancellation Policy:Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks (Hospital may also pay full hours for a particular shift, in lieu of cancellation).
