- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years of recent CVICU experience required; 2 years experience in field of specialty 2. Cases: Cardiac, thoracic, vascular and other surgical conditions requiring critical care; post-operative recovery patients 3. Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA NIH (or Red Cross) required; AHA PALS preferred if working in pediatric unit 4. License: Registered Nurse State of Alabama or compact license required; NURSYS required; no temp licenses accepted 5. Education: Associated degree in nursing required 6. EMR: Meditech 7. Shifts/Call: 36 or 48 hours per week; holidays as required; every other weekend 8. RTO: Not specified 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10.
