- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required 2. Cases: Trauma patients, CV surgery patients (TAVRs and CABGs directly from OR), neurosurgery patients, and other complicated surgical patients 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC, CSC required; must obtain all required certifications prior to start 4. License: VA or compact license required at submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 1:2-3 ratios, float to step down 1:3-4; every other weekend required; no on-call required 8. RTO: No holiday RTO approved; at manager's discretion; must add week at end if requesting more than 7 days RTO 9. Returning Staff: Must be gone 1 year before returning as traveler 10. Travel/Local: No radius rule; locals accepted at same rate 11. Background: Nursys only 12. Modules: Up to 8 hours average, completed pre-start within 1 week of signing, non-billable, recorded via WorkRamp 13. Travel Experience: First-timers accepted 14. Scrubs: Navy blue 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - No exemptions 16. Special Equipment: IABP, Impella, CRRT Prismax, EVD Drain skills preferred; CRRT mandatory plus at least one other skill Critical: Manager prefers RNs with IABP, Impella, CRRT Prismax, and EVD Drain skills. Unit does not allow travel pairs. Must include middle initial at submission.
