- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required (18 months minimum with exceptions per unit) 2. Cases: MI, Post Cardiac Arrest, A. fib RVR, Sepsis, CHF exacerbation, HTN Emergency, DKA, S/P PCI, ablation 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required; must be in hand prior to start 4. License: In-state license required and must be in hand to submit; temporary licenses obtainable once permanent license applications submitted 5. Education: University must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE at graduation 6. EMR: Cerner preferred; no specific charting required for IU health positions 7. Shifts/Call: 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts available; weekend coverage required 8. RTO: Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays; auto-approve 5 days non-holiday RTO 9. Returning Staff: Must be away 12 months before applying as traveler; consecutive contract policy requires breaks 10. Travel/Local: IN residents considered local and not accepted for PCU positions; locals offered lower rate for accepted positions 11. Background: Must be noted prior to submission for approval 12.
