Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 3 years Critical Care experience preferred (will consider strong candidates with less than 3 years) 2. Cases: Strong neuro experience required (post-neurosurgical, EVD, and stroke); patient populations include neurosurgical and post-stroke, respiratory failure, renal failure, post-surgical, trauma, sepsis and MODS, heart failure and post-cardiac cath 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS required via American Heart Association; NIHSS required 4. License: VA or compact license in hand at time of submittal - no exceptions 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Must be EPIC proficient - no exceptions 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 OR 4x12 (OT billed after 48 on 4x12), nights, weekdays, EOW; must be willing to float to Stepdown Unit and may be floated to ED/MedSurg; weekend coverage required 8. RTO: Required with submission, reviewed and approved on per case basis; pre-approved time off listed as none 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: No RN candidates accepted if residing less than 50 miles from facility; driver's license required for address verification 11. Background: Will not consider ANY license or background hits - no exceptions; facility cannot accommodate PAPR; any history of fit test issues eliminates candidate 12. Modules: 3 hours required, billable, completed pre-start 13. Travel Experience: Travel experience preferred 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed 16. Special Equipment: Vents, IV drip titration, telemetry monitoring, conscious sedation, dysrhythmia and emergency management Critical: Patient ratios 1:2-3. EKG testing required with 80% pass rate, one attempt only. Qualivis Submission Form and current NURSYS report required on all submissions.
