- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 3 years required; minimum 3 years experience in home care or Hospice 2. Cases: 2-3 admissions per day; outpatient hospice admission nurse positions (field and hospital required) 3. Certifications: BLS, RN Licensure for appropriate state (NC); must be AHA certified 4. License: NC or Compact license required in hand at time of start 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience preferred; Epic Dorothy/Comfort experience highly preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 10-hour days 08:00-18:30; no call requirement; no weekend requirement; float required between hospital and field 8. RTO: Auto approve 7 days or less (not on holidays); more requires facility approval; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays; no RTO during first week; RTO after booking NOT allowed 9. Returning Staff: Previous Novant Health or New Hanover employees must wait 12 months; facility rehire approval needed; must disclose previous employment 10. Travel/Local: Under 50 miles offered lower local rate; must travel between locations in all weather conditions 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Non-billable; Non-Acute roles 4-5 hours; completed pre-start via online learning, Zoom, webinar, in-person classes 13. Travel Experience: Will accept first-time travelers 14.
