- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; 1 year minimum for submission 2. Cases: All emergency type diagnoses; CVA (stroke), neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, TBI, gunshot wounds, ortho trauma 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required; PALS and TNCC with asterisk notation; copies must be included in submittal 4. License: Active New York Single State RN license required in hand to submit (NY is not Compact) 5. Education: Alert account manager if traveler has foreign education requiring verification 6. EMR: EPIC experience is a hard requirement 7. Shifts/Call: 7p-7a, weekend requirement every other, must be available every other holiday if needed 8. RTO: Cannot submit anyone with more than 10 days RTO; must submit requests upon submission 9. Returning Staff: 1 year return staff policy 10. Travel/Local: RNs within 75 miles not accepted; locals accepted for LPNs only 11. Background: Reviewed on case-by-case basis 12. Modules: Billable up to 5 hours, total may reach 10 hours; excess over 5 hours non-billable; completed pre-start 13. Travel Experience: First-time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Any combination of navy blue and white 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16. Special Equipment: Bair hugger, rapid infuser, safe patient handling equipment Critical: Patient ratios 1:5; floating required within skillset; 24-hour orientation; call off policy allows up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract.
