Shift: Nights / 7p-7:30a, 12×3, 36 hrs per week, every other weekend and one major holiday required
Requirements:
- VA License
- 1 year of RN experience
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- TNCC
- CPI De-escalation Training
- Copy of nursing diploma
- Experience in large ED/trauma centers strongly preferred
- EPIC experience very strongly preferred (must be proficient within the last year)
- MUST pass EKG Exam
- Patient Population: Very busy; all ages and medical complaints; daily trauma (located near 3 major highways); includes MVAs, mass casualties, GSWs, stabbings, stroke alerts, and STEMIs; nearby prisons (patients may arrive with guards); behavioral holds (including Alzheimer’s patients); occasional pediatric holds awaiting transfer
- Equipment/Skills: Alaris pumps, Panda warmers, Hamilton ventilators, Autopulse, GlideScope, AmbuScope, ultrasound, EKG machine, bladder scanner, cast cutter, Philips monitoring, Omnicell
- Ratio*: 1:4–5
