Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 3 years required 2. Cases: Non-Gynecological (Ascitic Fluid, Esophageal, Gastric, Spinal, Thin-Prep), Respiratory Tract (Bronchial), Body Fluid Test (Urine), Fine Needle Aspiration (Assist, Make smears, Preliminary Diagnosis, Staining), Special Stains/Organisms (PAP) 3. Certifications: ASCP-CT required; AHA and Red Cross only, RQI cards not accepted 4. License: IL license must be in hand at submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 5x8 Days (0700-1530), Monday-Friday, no on-call, no weekends required 8. RTO: Auto-approve 5 or less days of non-holiday RTO, anything more requires facility approval; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays 9. Returning Staff: Previous permanent/PRN candidates must be separated for 12 months before applying as traveler 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted with no radius restriction for this specialty 11. Background: Background check hits must be noted upon submission for approval prior to offer 12. Modules: Non-billable up to 16 hours, completed pre-start, renewed annually; strict deadlines with completion required by 4PM CST on Day 1 13. Travel Experience: Required 14. Scrubs: Provided for this role 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only 16. Special Equipment: Quality control equipment, cyto lab prep equipment, fine needle aspiration equipment Critical: Must arrive in IL 3 business days prior to start for fingerprinting. Outpatient lab experience required. Experience with QC and cyto lab prep required. Floating required within hospital or to affiliate hospitals.
