Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required (must have 2 years experience in large, urban hospital) 2. Cases: Cardiovascular ICU cases - heart and lung transplants, ventricular assist devices, ECMO patients 3. Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred, NIHSS 4. License: Nebraska RN License required; takes 4-6 weeks to obtain; pending license accepted but start date will be six weeks out 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: EPIC charting experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 36 or 48 hour option; ratios 1:2-3 days/nights; 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in 4-week period 8. RTO: Up to two weeks permitted; must be submitted with application; no RTO during first week of orientation; blackout dates 6/11/26 - 6/22/26 9. Returning Staff: First timers NOT accepted (will consider if traveler has 2 years experience at Level I Academic Medical Center) 10. Travel/Local: Must be more than 100 miles from facility; locals NOT accepted 11. Background: Do not submit candidates with license hits for RRT and Radiology 12. Modules: Mandatory charting class Friday of orientation week; 48 orientation hours 13. Travel Experience: Level I Trauma experience required, Level II preferred 14. Scrubs: Mandatory Steele gray scrubs with Nebraska Medicine logo on back 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Not required 16. Special Equipment: ECMO, ventricular assist devices, Impella devices Critical: 100% nicotine free facility. Must work 2/3 major holidays. Travelers are first to float. Must go to labs within 48-72 hours of accepting offer. All contracts end on Sunday.
