- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years of current CVICU experience required (may consider SICU experience with initial training in CVICU) 2. Cases: Fresh hearts, CABG, MVR, AVR, TAVR; ventilated patients, chest tubes and lumbar drains, chronic and acute renal failure 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required; all certifications required at time of submission 4. License: Active NJ or Compact license required at time of submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: Every other weekend and holiday required; patient ratios 1:1-2 (may vary when floated) 8. RTO: All time off must be sent with submittal and approved before offer; RTO requested after offer will NOT be accommodated; must be available to work 2 of 3 holidays 9. Returning Staff: RWJBH staff must be gone from system minimum 1 year before eligible for travel assignments 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted at same rate 11. Background: Open/active background hits and/or license hits NOT accepted 12. Modules: Non-billable; RN average 18 hours; 4 hours EPIC training plus up to 18 additional hours; completed pre-start and annually 13. Travel Experience: First time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16. Special Equipment: Must have experience with Impella, IABP, and CRRT using Prismax OR experience with fresh heart cases; Post Op Open Heart Recovery, Swan, FloTrac, Temp Pacers, Alines, Chest Tubes Critical: Float required to all ICUs, PACU, ED for ICU holding patients, and IMC units. Labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing. Maximum 3 submissions per candidate per facility.
