Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year minimum; 2+ years of CVICU/open heart experience required; will accept first-time travelers with extensive experience 2. Cases: Cardiac Surgery (CABG, valve procedures), CAD (STEMI, NSTEMI, AFIB), Vascular procedures (peripheral bypasses, EVAR), Thoracic (VATS) 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS required; AHA only; CPI Certificate required for most units (Calm Every Storm online version only) 4. License: Active MD or Compact License required at time of submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 hours, 7:30-20:00; every other weekend required; holidays required as scheduled; on-call not required 8. RTO: Must be included at initial submission, cannot be changed; should not exceed 7 days; one major holiday allowed during winter season 9. Returning Staff: Former staff must be gone 12 months before returning as traveler; return travelers must be away 6 months from system 10. Travel/Local: Locals under 50 miles not allowed; permanent residence must be 50+ miles from hospital 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Non-billable, factored in NBO 13.
