Requirements
- Required certification: Cath Lab
- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; must have experience in both Cath Lab and IR Lab 2. Cases: Cardiac cath patients (diagnostic or intervention); IR lab patients requiring drains, tubes, kyphoplasty, biopsy 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS required 4. License: NY license required in hand to submit 5. Education: Alert account manager if traveler has foreign education needing verification 6. EMR: Epic experience is a hard requirement 7. Shifts/Call: 4 ten-hour days (7:00 am - 5:30 pm); average 8-10 call shifts per month including 1 full weekend coverage 8. RTO: Cannot exceed 10 days; keep close to 1 week 9. Returning Staff: 1 year policy 10. Travel/Local: Candidates within 75 miles not accepted (75-mile radius rule) 11. Background: Reviewed on case-by-case basis 12. Modules: Billable up to 5 hours; total may reach 10 hours; excess over 5 hours non-billable; completed pre-start 13. Travel Experience: Unit accepts first-time travelers 14. Scrubs: Provided by hospital 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16. Special Equipment: IV infusion pumps, 12 Lead EKG equipment Critical: Must have mandatory competency with phlebotomy and IV placement. Nurses expected to scrub procedures, operate in rad tech role. RCIS cert preferred. Candidates will float. 40 orientation hours required.
