Requirements

- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; must support at least 2 years of experience in the previous 3 years 2. Cases: BMT/HEME/MED Oncology Experience, and or Strong Med Surg Experience; BMT experience REQUIRED (hard stop) 3. Certifications: BCLS required, ONS Chemo required (will accept ONS "Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration" course certificate), BSN preferred, OCN preferred 4. License: DC license required (pending DC license accepted but MUST have license prior to start date) 5. Education: BSN preferred 6. EMR: Cerner 7. Shifts/Call: Rotate Day/Night every other weekend; weekend coverage required roughly every other but depends on unit needs; required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity 8. RTO: No RTO permitted during first two weeks; no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; must be included at time of submittal and cannot be changed 9. Returning Staff: Nurses with previous MedStar employment must have been separated for minimum of one year before returning as traveler 10. Travel/Local: 60-mile local radius; local candidates accepted at lower rate; candidate address must match driver's license 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Sitel modules must be completed within one week of signing contract; billable up to 4 hours, average 12 hours duration; completed pre-start and potentially during orientation 13. Travel Experience: Must have one previous travel assignment or one month per diem 14. Scrubs: Not provided; any color without other hospital logos 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - No Exemptions 16. Special Equipment: Not specified Critical: Two supervisory references required including one from most recent assignment.
