Job Description

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – CVICU

Shift: Nights, 6:40p-7a, 12×3, 36hrs per week, Mon-Fri

Length: 13 weeks

Requirements:

  • WI or Compact License 
  • 2 years experience
  • Traveler must have completed 2 years of acute care experience within last 3 years.
  • Must have experience Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Acuity Adaptable area (3 or above)
  • AHA BLS
  • AHA ACLS
  • Previous Charge Experience preferred
  • Teaching Hospital Experience preferred
  • Trauma Level I / Level II Experience preferred 

Other Details:

  • Traveler’s permanent address must be 50 miles from assigned primary work site location.
  • Unit Accepts 1st time Traveler
  • Floating – Travelers are the first. 
  • COVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Unknown
  • Flu Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Required – Medical/Religious Exemptions Only

36 hrs/week, 12 hr shifts, Monday – Friday 6:40pm-7am.

Must have experience Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Acuity Adaptable area (3 or above).

Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within last 3 years.

Traveler’s permanent address must be 50 miles from assigned primary work site location.

Floating – Travelers are the first. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization. During the traveler’s assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract.

Licensure and Certification:

Traveler must have WI nursing license or compact license from their permanent address state.

BLS & ACLS – must be certified through American Heart Association ONLY

CVICU

Cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU) travel nurse jobs provide care to acutely ill patients who are recovery from cardiothoracic (CTICU) conditions or events, such as open heart surgery, AAA repairs and CABC. A CVICU travel nurse must be capable of administering care on a full spectrum, from clinical tasks such as medical history analysis and diagnostic testing, to personal care such as counseling patients and family regarding home-care and wellness. Overall, the CVICU nurse treats some of the most acutely ill patients in the hospital, and must do so safely and compassionately.
