Requirements
- Required certification: Ultrasound Tech - Echo
- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; minimum 1 year experience required 2. Cases: Cardiac and vascular studies; adult only echo studies; TTE, TEE, and Stress Echo 3. Certifications: ARDMS RDCS AE, BLS, CCI RCS (will accept ARDMS RDCS AE or CCI RCS), RVS 4. License: VA or compact state must be in hand at time of submittal 5. Education: BSN preferred 6. EMR: EPIC charting experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 8a-4:30p; M-F 7:00am-5:00pm & Saturday 7:30-4pm; candidates will float within scope if needed 8. RTO: Should be included at submission; approved by unit manager on WOC; no guaranteed time off; no time off granted during first week of assignment 9. Returning Staff: Both travelers and permanent staff must be gone for one year before being eligible to return as a traveler 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted at same base rate; no radius rules for applicants; first time travelers ok 11. Background: Facility will review all background hits 12. Modules: All candidates assigned modules during orientation on VCU Learning Exchange; non-billable, average 6 hours factored in NBO; must be completed by Friday of orientation week 13. Travel Experience: First time travelers ok 14. Scrubs: VCU has a natural nail policy 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only 16. Special Equipment: 3-D Echo, TEE, PACS, Philips systems Critical: Community hospital experience required. Two references required. Must perform both cardiac and vascular studies preferred but cardiac-only registration supportive.
