- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years of recent experience within the last 7 years required; must support at least 2 years of experience in the previous 3 years 2. Cases: Acute hospital OR experience required; daily census of 40-50 cases 3. Certifications: IAHCSMM/HSPA required at time of submittal 4. License: DC locations require DC license in hand; MD locations require compact or MD license; some units may accept pending licensure with a later start date 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 5x8, 1500-2330; every other weekend required; weekend coverage is true 8. RTO: No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of assignment; RTO must be included at time of submittal and cannot be changed once profile is sent to manager; no more than 7 days per 13-week contract 9. Returning Staff: Previous MedStar employees must have been separated for a minimum of one year before returning as a traveler; candidates may only be submitted to one MedStar location at a time 10.
