- Unit Notes:SLP This position would primarily be working with a pediatric patient population # of patients treated per day: varies This position would primarily be working with a pediatric patient population General Certification Requirements (BLS, etc.) Speech Therapy MA, M.S. Degree. Must be licensed or hold temporary license as Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) with State of Nebraska Other Required certs for all SLP? Holds and maintains CPR Certification; Valid Driver s License; Medication Aide preferred Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Language/Speech delay, autism, down syndrome, articulation/phono; Acute Inpatient, Acute Rehab, Skilled, Outpatient? Outpatient. Possible/occasional Inpatient What areas are they required to cover? Outpatient. Possible/occasional Inpatient Experience or 'Must have' skills & common job duties Able to work independently and collaborate with all disciplines within the Rehab department including support staff EMR Epic Is there a SLP Manager/Supervisor on each shift? Department Director is a Physical Therapist. There is 1 other SLP on duty Do you staff Rehab Aides: SLAs? Rehab Aides Yes.
