- Unit Notes:Department: Respiratory Therapist *Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, RRT* **Local Rate: Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility. Client rates reduced by $8.00/hour.** - # treatments per day: 20-25 per RT (2 RTs typically per shift). - Types of patients: Mainly Adults, minimal peds and neonates (ER, or newborn), RT to go to high risk deliveries (Travelers may be asked to cover- very low frequency). - What areas do they cover: Inpatient, ER, ICU, MS- floors, Facility emergencies in the clinic. - Experience or 'Must have' skills: Vents, Bipap, basic RT treatments, EKGs, intubation assist. Prefer previous traveler experience. Ok with duos- with timing. Teamwork, jumping in to assist other therapist. - Job Duties: Basic therapies, ABG's, EKGs, bipaps/cpaps, ventilators (intubation weaning and extubation), charge verification, timely/proper charting in Cerner. - Are RTs Required to be able to Intubate Independently or only to assist?: Assist, insert king airways in emergency situations prior to provider getting there. - Respiratory Manager/Supervisor/Lead Therapist?: Sheri Socha - Manager, Cindy Williams - Lead RT. - Shifts & Scheduling: Shifts - 0600-1800, 1800-0600 variable (rare occasion for variable shifts and work with traveler prior to switch), some weekend coverage, possibility for staffing independently if call-in or staffing shortage but avoided at all costs. - Weekend Requirements: Rotating about every 3rd weekend (depending on call ins, staffing). - Holiday Requirements: 2/3 for winter holidays, every other holiday coverage otherwise. - Call or standby call requirement?: Not applicable. - What is call response time: Not applicable. - Floating Requirements: Not applicable. - Scrub Color/Dress Code: Dark Green. - RT Equipment: Vents-PB980, PB840, SurvoU, LTV1200, Hamilton; Bipap/Cpap-V60, Home Resmed; High Flow-Optiflow. - Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Yes hospitalist 24/7, intensivist in house majority of day, eICU for overnight needs. - Department Specific Orientation: Yes - 1 day shifts with lead and going over equipment, 1 day shift to go over department/ shadow and 3rd orientation on assigned shift. *MUST note in submission if clinician has ever worked for Marshfield.
