- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission; first-time travelers accepted 2. Cases: NICU and/or PICU experience required (HARD STOP); ED, Level 1 trauma facility, pediatric critical care, and pediatrics also required 3. Certifications: BLS, RRT, NRP (asterisked), PALS (asterisked) required; BCLS noted; certifications not required at time of submittal unless otherwise noted; all certs must be AHA or American Red Cross 4. License: MO license — submit without license OK, requires MO or compact (no issuance if tied to another compact state); IL license — must be in hand at time of submittal; Compact — must match permanent residence, otherwise submit for update and confirm ETA 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required; charting system experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 4x12s; every other weekend required; on-call not required; orientation is 36 hours; confirm shift in submittal 8. RTO: Maximum 7 days of RTO; 7+ days requires manager approval, including holiday RTO; no new RTO after submission; no RTO allowed the first week of an assignment; pre-approved time off listed as two requests 9. Returning Staff: 18-month tenure with a 3-month break in service required; permanent employees across BJC and/or Saint Lukes must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler; BJC does not permit contractors to cancel a signed contract to accept another BJC assignment; if canceled at contractor's discretion, must complete an assignment elsewhere before being considered for a new BJC opportunity 10.
