Certifications: BLS, ACLS, RRT required; PALS noted; must be Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC); CRT not accepted; AHA requirement not specified 4. License: Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner by the VA State Board of Medicine required; other state licenses accepted but must obtain 90-day temporary authorization while VA permanent license is issued; pending license accepted 5.
