- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year of experience required; prior NICU and pediatric experience required 2. Cases: NICU and Pediatrics required; critical care background in high-volume ER, Level 1 Trauma Center, and Level 3 NICU preferred; advanced ventilator management including HFJV, HF oscillator, Jet, Servo I, V60, 3100A/B, and Nitric systems required 3. Certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS, and RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist by the NBRC) required; CRT not accepted; must be AHA or equivalent 4. License: Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner by the VA State Board of Medicine required; other state licenses accepted with 90-day temporary authorization while VA permanent license is processed; pending license accepted 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12-hour nights (7p-7a); EOW or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week block; facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks; must work one holiday per 13-week contract; floating required within skillset, including Adults 8.
