Requirements
- Required certification: RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist
- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; 18 months minimum recent ICU experience required 2. Cases: Adult Critical Care; skills include BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC, mechanical ventilation weaning, tracheostomy care, ABG interpretation, intubation assist, and more 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, RRT (NBRC) required; PALS noted with asterisk 4. License: Indiana (IN) license required; note that effective 11/30/24, IU Health will not allow IN RNs to work at their facilities — exceptions include Periop/OR RNs, Allied, Ambulatory RNs, ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS 5. Education: Must be accredited through CoARC and regionally accredited through CHEA 6. EMR: Cerner experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: Every other weekend required (every other Saturday and Sunday); float between Methodist/University/Fishers/Morgan locations; written confirmation from traveler required before submission confirming comfort with every other weekend requirement 8.
