Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel – Respiratory Therapist II

Shift: Days, 7a-7p, 12×3, 36hrs per week, E/O Weekend required

Duration: 13 weeks

Requirements:

• NC State License 
• 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the NBRC
• BLS
• At least one of the following depending on practice area: ACLS, NRP, PALS, CPFT, or an advanced practice certificate to administer moderate sedation in the Bronchoscopy Lab

Other Details:

• Respiratory Therapy department
• Administers respiratory care including airway management, mechanical ventilator management, oxygen and aerosol therapy, and respiratory procedures and treatments
• Provides full airway management including aspiration of established airways, tracheostomy care/tube changes, endotracheal intubations/extubations; may perform Pulmonary Function Testing
• Carolina Air Care: may transport pediatric and neonatal patients per UNC Air Care Protocol and perform advanced practice procedures (UAC, UVC, IV insertion, intraosseous insertion, chest tube insertion, needle decompression, ABGs, blood glucose monitoring)
• ECMO: may manage extracorporeal circulation for cardiac and respiratory support
• Functions independently with minimal supervision; serves as a resource to other staff
• May be required to be on-call days, nights, weekends, and holidays
