They are quick to respond when needed. - Experience or 'Must have' skills: Must have experience in similar size facility & setting - Job Duties (i.e.: Do RTs draw ABGs, perform EKGs, etc.): RTs are responsible for drawing all ABG's, nebulizes, breathing treatments, patient teaching for inhalers as needed, manage vents, Bipap, heated high flow, etc. They also perform EKG's when the Diagnostic dept is closed. - Are RTs Required to be able to Intubate Independently or only to assist?: Would only be required to assist intubate - Respiratory Manager/Supervisor/Lead Therapist?: 2 clinical coordinators no lead (1 is diagnostic & the other clinical) This is who staff reports to. - Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) *Would they ever be the only RT in-house?* They usually have 2-3 RTs scheduled each shift. They can flex up & down but routinely 2 are always scheduled for the full house 24/7. 12's: 6:45 a - 7:15 p; 6:45 p - 7:15 a, They will allow block scheduling if it works for their needs & schedule. (Fri/Sat/Sun for nights & Sat/Sun for days) - Holiday Requirements: If traveler available & wants to work a holiday they could - Call or standby call requirement?
