- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 2 years required in NICU, pediatric critical care, pediatrics, and ED; 2 years of current NICU and PICU experience required 2. Cases: Level IV NICU, pediatric critical care, pediatric cardiac anomalies, emergency department 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, RRT (CRT considered case by case only if all other requirements met); all certifications must be in hand at time of submission 4. License: NC RRT (Compact or NC license) must be in hand prior to submission; allow 2-4 weeks for processing 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required 7. Shifts/Call: 6 weekend shifts per schedule; schedule published in 6-week blocks; on-call not required; orientations are bi-weekly; 40 orientation hours 8. RTO: Must be included with submission; 5-7 days max; pre-approved time off limited to two 9. Returning Staff: Any previously permanent employment at Duke University Health System must be included in employment history at submission; candidate must not have been a permanent Duke employee within the past 6 months 10.
